Communication and credential exchange go hand in hand. We've implemented messaging functionality in the APIs and Trinsic Wallet to give you a way to communicate with your users inline.
We have implemented messaging using DIDComm—specifically the Aries Basic Message RFC 0095—and display it in a chat-like interface on the Trinsic Wallet. That means messaging is interoperable between Trinsic and any other Aries-based implementations.
We call the chat-face interface on the Trinsic Wallet an "activity log" because not only does it record the messages you've sent and received, it also acts as a historical log of the credentials sent, received, and shared with a specific connection.
The Trinsic API supports messaging (in beta); our next release will include full messaging support in the API, SDKs, and documentation.
