Provider Health

Trinsic's platform is designed so that you can worry less about the nuances of each ID Provider and more about running your business. But behind the scenes, each ID Provider is a completely separate system whose services, like any digital platform, experience degradation and occasionally downtime. Our Provider Health feature surfaces those events in real time, pauses new sessions for the affected providers, and keeps you in the loop until they’re back online.

Why Provider Health Matters

Trinsic is a gateway to many ID Providers around the world. We continuously monitor each provider’s public or private status endpoints, error rates, and other signals (such as degraded response times) and translate that into a simple Online / Offline badge inside the Trinsic Dashboard.

Though it doesn't happen often, planning for these events allows Trinsic to surface features that allow our customers to maintain their services and avoid confusing errors from their end-users.

What You’ll See

IndicatorMeaningAction You Can Take
OnlineProvider is responding normally.Launch sessions as usual.
OfflineProvider’s endpoint or platform is not responding or is returning errors.Launching new sessions for this ID Provider is temporarily disabled to avoid failed user journeys. When this indicator is active, the API will return a 400 Bad Request. The Recommend Providers API will filter out offline ID Providers, further preventing confusing or frustrating user experiences.

Both the Recommend Providers and List Providers APIs allow you to filter based on health, allowing you to, for example, continue to show buttons to your users in a disabled state, provide your own health indicators to your customers, and keep your integration functioning regardless of the current health of any specific ID Provider.
