Testing Program

Trinsic offers a testing program to help you validate identity verification flows using real testers, especially in cases where provider testing is difficult due to geographic or operational constraints.

What is the Testing Program?

Trinsic's Testing Program allows you to request real-world testing of your hosted verification flow through Trinsic’s network of testers. Once you submit a request, we will coordinate the test and notify you when it is complete.

When should I use this?

Testing requests are recommended when:

  • You need to validate a provider in a specific geography
  • You want to confirm end-to-end UX before launch
  • You don’t have access to real users in a required region
  • You want external confirmation that a verification flow works as expected

How to submit a test request

Navigate to the Testing tab in the left-hand sidebar. Click New Test Request. Fill out the required details:

  1. Start URL

Provide the URL where the tester should begin the verification flow.
    • The link must be long-lived and accessible for at least two days
    • The tester should be able to start the flow without additional setup
  2. What to test

Describe exactly what you want the tester to validate. Examples include:
    • Test a specific country + provider combination
    • Complete verification on a specific device type
    • Confirm a full onboarding verification flow
    • Validate that a provider is reachable and functional in-region The more specific you are, the faster and more accurate the test will be.
  3. Additional notes (optional)

Use this field to provide any extra context, such as:
    • Test credentials or expected outcomes
    • UX edge cases to watch for
    • Known issues or constraints
  4. Test output preference

You can choose whether the tester should provide:
    • A simple success/failure confirmation
    • A video recording of the verification experience

Data retention requirements

Before submitting a test request, ensure the verification profile used for the test link has data retention set to 7 days or less. This helps ensure verification data is handled appropriately during testing.

What happens after submission?

After you submit the request:

  1. Trinsic receives the test request
  2. We coordinate with our tester network
  3. The tester completes the requested verification flow
  4. You receive an email once the test is complete, including the outcome (and video if requested)

Best practices

To ensure fast turnaround:

  • Provide a stable link that won’t expire quickly
  • Clearly specify the provider, geography, and device requirements
  • Use a dedicated testing profile with short retention
  • Avoid submitting requests that require internal logins or gated access
